Senior Software Engineer

Job Details

This job is a hybrid - 2/w working from the downtown Toronto office.

The Role

• Work directly with the CTO to define, design, and ship new features
• Will be focused on SaaS backend development
• Emphasis on enabling APIs and data engineering
• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle
• Utilize and contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
• Participate in document development phases and systems monitoring

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sr Software Engineer or Founding Engineer
• Deep knowledge of modern programming languages, specifically Python (Flask)
• Experience with application backend development (data pipelines, databases, APIs, web servers, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud applications and architecture (AWS)
• Experience with AI and Machine Learning algorithms is a plus
• Knowledge/understanding of infrastructure-as-code and securing SaaS infrastructure
• Familiar with git, Docker, and associated practices for collaborative and robust code development
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

Options

Both Contract and Full-time options available. Must be in Toronto.
