About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Microsoft .NET Senior Software Engineer within the Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) team - the Global Sanctions Management Operations System (GSMOS Customer). This team focuses on providing the ability to screen new and existing customers for an individual, organization or jurisdiction appearing on any selected regulatory watch lists. The selected candidate will be experienced in application development, maintenance, and technology strategy. Candidate will strive to provide creative or innovative, yet practical solutions to the organization.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience
  • 4+ years of C# programming and .NET Framework experience
  • 4+ years of MS SQL server experience
  • 3+ years of .NET Core experience
  • 3+ years of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Servicer Reporting Services (SSRS) experience, or a combination of both
  • 3+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) experience.
  • 3 + years of experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • 3+ years of Python programming experience
  • 3+ years of Agile experience

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
  • Prior experience in financial industry
  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to identify and manage complex issues and negotiate solutions within a geographically dispersed organization
  • Ability to gather and document technical design and requirements
  • Ability to facilitate design sessions

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing large scale, complex software applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: unit, regression, integration, and stress performance testing
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry: compliance, regulatory, or legal operations
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
  • Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to identify, plan, and document system solutions that are cost effective and meet regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
