Senior SDET (Python)

Dublin (Hybrid working , 3 days per week in office)

6 Month rolling contract

Rate : €500-550 per day

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the third-party company's Electronic Trading Risk Team to design, develop, and implement test automation frameworks.
• Utilize a diverse range of technologies and frameworks (Python, Cucumber/Behave, Javascript/Angular, Selenium Webdriver) to conduct thorough testing.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Python and its ecosystem to drive efficient testing solutions.
• Advocate for Test-Driven Development principles, emphasizing the importance of robust and maintainable code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, with experience working in scrum teams.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing UI test automation frameworks.
• Strong command over technologies including Python, BDD/Cucumber/Behave, JUnit, Selenium WebDriver, GIT, and SQL.

Key Skills

• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with Selenium/WebDriver, JUnit, BDD, and Database Testing
• Familiarity with API testing (REST APIs, Rest Assured), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Unix), and source control systems (Git, BitBucket)
• Knowledge of test management tools such as JIRA, qTest, and ALM

Preferred Experience

• ISTQB/ISEB Certification in Software Testing is advantageous.
• Experience with additional test automation frameworks (Java, Selenium).
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and associated practices.
• Proficiency in API testing (REST APIs, Rest Assured) and source control systems (Git, BitBucket).
• Familiarity with software engineering practices across the development lifecycle.
