Senior Python/Django Engineer

Job Description

We're looking for a proactive and motivated Python Developer with AWS Ops exposure to take ownership of the python codebase and supporting services in a fast-paced media company.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver key server-side development projects using python frameworks and AWS services.
• Work with the product team to architect and build new services.
• Create APIs and microservices for consumer products.
• Proactively maintain the estate to prevent downtime.
• Investigate anomalous events and provide resolutions.

Requirements

7+ years of Python coding experience professionally, with familiarity in Django, AWS services, Docker, databases, and CI/CD.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Significant experience in Django framework and django admin cms.
• Knowledge of AWS services like ECS Fargate, RDS Aurora, Lambda functions, VPC, IAM, etc.
• Understanding of Docker for hosting applications and AWS VPC networking.
• Experience in small teams with ownership of systems and processes.
