Job Description

Freelance Python Software Engineer HYBRID (m/ f/ d) – ASAPCurrently working with one of my clients in Switzerland closely and looking for a Freelance Python Engineer. The ideal candidate will be open to be 2–3 days onsite and speak fluent German and English. IV slots are already booked and immediate start possible.

Role

• Freelance Python Engineer
• 6-month Contract
• ASAPHybrid (3 days onsite in Chur)

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, robust, and high-performance Python applications
• Analyzing requirements and designing technical architectures to support business objectives
• Continuously optimizing existing code to improve efficiency, maintainability, and scalability
• Actively participating in code reviews to ensure quality assurance and best practices
• Collaborating with other teams and with Junior Engineer in Team

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in Python application development, ideally in a senior or leadership capacity
• Strong knowledge of software development principles, including design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
• Expertise in using relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks like pytest
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and interact with other team members
