Job Opportunity: Senior Python Engineer

Oliver James have partnered up with a leading regulatory technology company. Our client is currently looking to take on a seasoned Python engineer.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer reporting to the CTO, you will be working with a small team of Python developers and UI developers contributing to the development of new generation of cloud-based analytical products in the area of financial regulatory risk.

Required Skills

• 7+ year's experience in Python.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable having technical discussions with clients.
• Senior developer/team lead experience.
• Python web application and/or API development.
• Strong SQL and RDBMS modelling skills.
• Reasonable Linux knowledge.
• Modern and agile Devops.

Nice to Haves

• PostgreSQL and use of PostgreSQL via SQLAlchemy.
• Azure infrastructure configuration.
• Basic working knowledge of interfacing with LLMs, such as OpenAI or Microsoft Cognitive Services APIs.

This is a fully remote role (within Ireland).

Salary - Up to €120,000 - Depending on experience + Benefits.

Please note - you must hold an EU Passport/ Stamp 4 Visa and be based in Ireland to be considered for this role.
