Our client is a leading technology company offering bespoke security Solutions to companies across the UK and internationally. They are looking for a result-driven Senior Software Engineer with demonstrable experience working with Python to join their existing agile development team tasked with creating innovative cyber solutions and updating current systems.

Our client is offering a flexible salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience. In addition, our client is also offering hybrid or remote working opportunities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the development and coding activities using Python, C++, JavaScript and associated tools
- Develop documentation and training material conforming to relevant Company standards and procedures
- Undertake functional testing and validation of developed code, documentation, and training materials
- Investigate customer product use scenarios, reproducing issues and resolving these.
- Taking ownership of some key project areas, whilst offering advice to wider team members on technical tasks to be undertaken
- Assist with resource planning procedures needed for each project
- Act as one of the primary contracts for customers in order to understand customer requirements and translate into technical requirements.
- Produce designs and specifications to meet customer requirements
- Identify and participate in research activities to assist in advancing department ways of working
- Support Junior and Mid-Level Engineers with workload if required
- Provide third line post-sales support
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience in Python programming/scripting essential
- Experience in a software solution environment, any experience or interest within Cyber Security would also be beneficial
- Highly proficient hands-on experience with C++ and Linux
- In depth understanding of the full software development lifecycle
- Stakeholder management skills
- Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes
- Proven experience in leading and motivating a software development team
- Any knowledge of agile working methodologies beneficial
Requirements
As this role will involve handling of sensitive information, all applicants must be eligible to gain SC level clearance, including being a UK resident for the past 3 years.
