Senior Python Developer - Cambridge Hybrid £55,000 - £65,000

This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Python Developer to join an innovative business, working with cutting edge technology as part of a small, Agile team. My client are a trend-setter and a disruptive leader in creating highly sophisticated camera technology products, empowering high-quality AR, VR and Virtual Production for the high-end film and broadcast industry. Responsibilities

  • Ownership of architectural designs & solutions.
  • Development of cutting-edge cloud products.
  • Guiding a variety of exciting projects.
  • Support and mentor more junior team members.
  • Push boundaries within existing technology, while also creating and implementing new technology to achieve the best all-round solutions.

Requirements

  • Higher Degree in Computer Science, Engineering / similar or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years hands-on Python experience in a commercial setting, demonstrating involvement across the entire development life cycle.
  • Expertise in at least one popular Python framework.
  • Linux / Unix experience.
  • Familiarity with defining and implementing API's.
  • Experience writing unit tests.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (such as JavaScript and HTML5).
  • Experience with Django, Boto3, AWS would be beneficial.
  • A strong self-starter, with the confidence to lead a small team.
