Experienced Python Developer Opportunity with AWS Focus

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Duration: 4-6+ months (possibility of extension or conversion to full-time)

Onsite: 3 days per week

Eligibility: USC/GC/GC-EAD/H4EAD/TN (Diverse candidates encouraged to apply)

Pay Rate: $70-75 per hour on W2 basis, depending on experience

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer with a strong background in AWS to contribute to the development of a SAAS platform for a temporary project with potential for long-term involvement.

Key Requirements

• 7-8 years of experience with Python
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience with AWS
• Proficiency in building SAAS platforms
• Basic understanding of databases, with a focus on Mongo DB

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Extensive experience in at least two programming languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, C#, and Go
• Hands-on experience with document-oriented databases like MongoDB, MarkLogic, DocumentDB, etc.
• Practical knowledge of designing and implementing applications on major cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure; cloud certifications are a plus
• Familiarity with industry-wide technology trends, best practices, and unit testing methodologies
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Salt
• Proficiency in Python frameworks like Django and Flask
• Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a customer-centric mindset
• Expertise in Agile and Lean methodologies, including tools like JIRA and YouTrack
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members to achieve project goals
