About the Company
This company specialises in the modelling and prediction of sporting events. Applications of their research are widespread across multiple sectors including betting, insurance, finance, media as well as giving advice to coaches and owners of sporting teams. The current business is 55 members, with plans to increase headcount by 15% in the coming months
Responsibilities
As a Python Developer, you would be working with an established team to improve the internal systems and tools for a range of users including Quants, Data Scientists and Traders. Those users provide intelligent feedback and can be followed up with to gain further insights on an immediate bases.
Your aim will be to provide the technology that allows the business to expand into new markets and sports, add additional functionality for the Traders to use, and control the scale-up of the software as the company grows.
The development team uses various different programming languages with a particular focus on Python and Golang, with an AWS cloud environment and predominantly relational databases (mostly Postgres) and ZeroMQ and RabbitMQ for backend communication.
