Job Opportunity at Raise: Senior Python Developer
Location: Hybrid - (2x/week in office)
Contract Length: 5 Months with possibility for extension
Overview
- We at Raise are hiring a Senior Python Developer for one of our top clients.
- After establishing themselves as an industry leader, they’re now expanding their team to meet rising demand.
Responsibilities
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts who carry out detailed investigations into software requirements.
- Confer with project managers to obtain information on software capabilities.
- Modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces based on business requirements.
- Work with Linux operating system to complete project tasks.
Must Have Skills
- 5-7 years of Developer Experience (Front or Back end).
- 3-5 years of recent Python/PySpark experience.
- Prior Financial Institution experience.
- 2+ years’ experience working with database technology and writing intermediate SQL queries.
Nice To Have
- Prior FI Compliance experience/knowledge also beneficial but team is willing to train.
- Experience in Google Cloud Platform/Azure would be an asset.
- Prior Apache Nifi experience would be beneficial for this position.
