Wolt Promotions Team
Wolt is looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Promotions team. The team focuses on making Wolt affordable for users by implementing changes in consumer-facing applications and developing tools for marketing teams. They are responsible for all types of incentives within the Wolt platform such as free deliveries, credits, and discounts. Development within the team is fast-paced, iterative, and focuses on engaging customers.
Current Team
The Promotions team currently consists of a team lead, a product lead, a data-analyst, mobile, backend and frontend engineers, and a designer. This diverse team collaborates on various projects and contributes to both legacy backend monoliths in Python and newer micro-services in Python and Kotlin.
Expectations
Wolt seeks a candidate proficient in building backend services using Python or Kotlin, with an emphasis on modern, testable, and maintainable code. The role can be tailored based on the applicant's experience, but a willingness to learn both languages is required. The team provides mentorship and values a track record of quick learning and adaptability.
Aside from technical skills, the ideal candidate is expected to be a product-oriented problem solver, a good communicator, and willing to collaborate with various stakeholders. They should be able to articulate requirements, facilitate discussions between tech and product teams, and raise issues constructively.
