Senior AI Software Engineer

Job Description

Generative AI Platform Engineer - Polyglot/Python sought by leading investment bank based in the city of London.

Inside IR35 - 2/3 days a week onsite

Joining the Team

• Be part of the team building a green-field development at scale.
• Work on large scale engineering challenges on-premise and on the cloud.
• Utilize cutting edge technologies like LLMs to address user use-cases across the bank.

Requirements

• Design and build high-quality, highly reliable software.
• Partner closely with other development teams, quants, and subject-matter experts.
• Ensure software platforms are compliant with the bank's security and SDLC processes.
• Run the platform at scale, innovate, and evolve continually.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experienced in AI/ML and more particularly LLMs.
• Strong knowledge and deep experience of Python.
• Strong distributed systems and system architecture skills.
• Experience in building and running large platforms at scale.
• Knowledge and experience of at least one structured programming language such as Java, C#, Rust, Clojure, Haskell, etc.
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes, Kafka, and REST-ful design.
• Development experience of at least one public cloud provider.
