Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer (Okta, mTLS, VueJS, NodeJS, AWS Lambda, Python (CDK)

Location: Deerfield, IL 60015 (Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)

Job Duration: 12 months

Rate: $80/hr on C2C

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 10 years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience working with OAuth 2.0 (Okta experience)
• Experience working with IoT Devices (IoT Management in a Public Cloud Provider preferred)

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute application migration activities
• Provide status updates to senior leadership
• Work with Operations to define, practice and execute migration plans
• Upgrade VueJS single page micro-frontend applications (SPA) to support local development while migration activities are being performed

Migration Activities

• Upgrade NodeJS microservices for deployment in modern AWS Lambda runtimes
• Migrate medical IoT Devices
• Work with infrastructure engineers to migrate legacy CloudFormation templates to Python (CDK)

Testing and Documentation

• Develop scripts for testing application operability and database migration accuracy
• Work within a 24-hour delivery cycle with India development center
• Generate technical documentation capturing the deployed state of digital products

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Change Control and Configuration Management concepts
• Experience hosting applications on public cloud providers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• History of working on productive Agile development teams
• Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
