About The Role

We're looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The role involves building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, streamlining automation processes, and ensuring system security and compliance. We support an evolving application stack written with Python, React, and PostgreSQL.

What You'll Do

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Networking Expertise: Manage networking infrastructure including DNS, VPC, and VPN configurations for optimal performance and security.
• Automation: Implement infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools for automation and streamlined development.
• Security and Compliance: Maintain security best practices and ensure compliance with standards like SOC 2 Type II.
• Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with development teams for a seamless developer experience to build, deploy, and scale applications efficiently.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with a positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure and scaling application workloads, especially in AWS.
• Strong networking skills in TCP/IP, DNS, and VPC configuration.
• Expertise in automation, IaC (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools like CloudWatch and Sentry.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience with compliance standards such as SOC 2 Type II.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, focusing on developer experience and enablement.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Go for automation and instrumentation tasks.
