About The Role

We're looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The role involves building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, streamlining automation processes, and ensuring system security and compliance. We support an evolving application stack written with Python, React, and PostgreSQL.

What You’ll Do

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on AWS for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Networking Expertise: Manage networking infrastructure, including DNS, VPC, and VPN configurations, for optimal performance and security.
• Automation: Implement infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools for automating and streamlining development and deployment processes.
• Security and Compliance: Maintain security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards like SOC 2 Type II.
• Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to provide a seamless developer experience and enable efficient building, deploying, and scaling of applications.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• DevOps Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to problem-solving, positive attitude, and effectiveness in a team environment.
• Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly in AWS.
• Networking Skills: Strong skills in TCP/IP, DNS, and VPC configuration.
• Automation Expertise: Proficiency in automation, IaC (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
• Security and Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards like SOC 2 Type II.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills focusing on developer experience.
• Scripting Proficiency: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Go for automation tasks.
