Job Description

As a Reconciliation Tester, your primary responsibility is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and customer data through meticulous testing and validation processes. You will collaborate closely with financial and business analysts, developers, architects, and other stakeholders to verify that reconciliation systems and processes are functioning correctly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Testing Reconciliation Systems: Conduct thorough testing of reconciliation systems to identify any discrepancies or errors in financial data.
  • Data Validation: Verify the accuracy of financial data by comparing it with source documents, transaction records, and other relevant information.
  • Error Identification and Resolution: Investigate and analyze discrepancies found during testing, and work with the development team to resolve issues promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of testing procedures, findings, and resolutions for future reference and auditing purposes.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for enhancing reconciliation processes and systems.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies governing financial reconciliation and reporting.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of previous experience on ETL/reconciliation
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and tools for data analysis and reconciliation.
  • Excellence in SQL, Excel etc
  • Good to have experience of scripting languages e.g. Bash shell scripting, Java, Python, PowerShell.
  • Experience with testing methodologies and tools preferably Selenium.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
