Job Description

The R&D Engineer role at Ansys involves developing software products and supporting systems. Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in planning, architecture, and research for on-prem and cloud deployments.
  • Performing complex development activities in areas such as user experience, software design, and solver research.
  • Conducting bug verification, release testing, and beta support.
  • Researching and developing solutions for identified problems.
  • Understanding marketing requirements for products.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Quantitative Sciences with at least 5 years of commercial software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of Python experience in a commercial setting.
  • Experience with REST APIs and Cloud services implementation and deployment.
  • Proficiency in automated testing and CI/CD practices.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Technical knowledge and experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience delivering reusable microservices for end-user applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Knowledge or experience with Agile SDLC and DevOps processes.
