SixPoint Capital Management

SixPoint Capital Management is a hybrid credit provider for fintech lenders in emerging and frontier markets. We are seeking a skilled quantitative developer to assist our head of Data Science and Risk in developing and managing the systems that enable us to underwrite and evaluate investment opportunities. This is a contract role, with the opportunity to become full-time for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop quantitative financial models under the guidance of the head of Data Science and Risk.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Retool applications to enable the underwriting and evaluation of potential credit investment opportunities.
  • Creating workflows in Retool with 3rd party services such as AWS Lambda, MongoDB, postgres, etc.
  • Help shape the tech product roadmap in collaboration with the rest of the team.
  • Develop and maintain the data stack, including data pipelines, databases, etc.
  • Establishing best practices around data retention and security.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather project requirements and translate them into user-friendly applications.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues that arise.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in quantitative finance is required. Credit experience is highly preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or another quantitative field.
  • Proven experience using Retool to prototype and develop user-facing apps.
  • Proficient in Python, particularly numpy, scipy, and other data science-related packages.
  • Must be extremely comfortable with rapid prototyping and iterating.
  • Proficiency in integrating and working with various data sources, APIs, and databases.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.
