Job Title: QA Analyst (Python)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Whippany, NJ

Duration: 6 Months

Description

• 70% automation, 30% manual

Testing

• All types of testing: front, middle, backend UI, database
• Testing ins and outs of web portals, data that come from databases, etc.

Requirements

• 2 years of Python knowledge: must be "working" knowledge not just book
• Test case writing / all basic QA functions expected
• Preferable to Jira

Responsibilities

• Interaction with other members of the quality team
• Working with developers, project managers, and customer support staff
• Direct interaction with customers to ensure requirements are adequately tested

What You Will Do

• Manual testing a cloud-based application written in Microsoft .NET Framework running within Chrome or Edge
• Review functional and design specifications
• Identify test requirements and design test coverage plan
• Work with developers to improve overall software quality
• Execute and evaluate test cases
• Report test results
• Identify and report defects

Skills

• Ability to convey technical concepts to professionals with varying levels of technical knowledge
• 2+ years of experience with unit and functional testing
• 2+ years of experience working with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/Javascript)
• 2+ years of experience working with databases (SQL)
• Experience with Behavior Driven Development
• Experience leveraging RESTful JSON APIs
• Experience with Git
