Description
DSFederal, Inc. is seeking an experienced UI Developer with Python/Django experience to support an agency health care program. As a member of the team, you will work as part of the development team to develop and implement new Python and Django UI components for user-facing applications.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
The UI / UX Developer will work as part of the development team to develop and implement new Python and Django UI components and user facing applications defined by the design team into the development, testing, and production environments for the product. This position will also be responsible for collaborating with the development team to integrate these user facing applications into the existing backend components and API’s.
In this role, the developer will be expected to become familiar with the USWDS styling guidelines and leverage best practices to implement styling into the web UI applications. The developer will need to become familiar with existing web/application architecture patterns, produce CSS supplements to augment existing USWDS CSS templates and produce documentation detailing the applications user workflow.
Requirements
- Experience Required
- 3-5 years of experience developing UI / UX applications in Python/Django framework
- 3+ years of Software development experience in a Linux environment
- Experience developing user facing web applications
- Experience in the Agile Scrum development process
- Technical Skills Required
- Programming: Python, Django framework
- Front-end web technologies: JavaScript, HTML5 & CSS3
- Operating System: Linux
- Version Control: Git or SVN
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Sketch or Figma
Education
Bachelors degree required Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred
