Python/Unix/Linux Developer

Job Description

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at client's site in Toronto 2 times per week - subject to change at any time.

"As a senior developer (5+ Years of experience) the role expects to design and develop Python code with knowledge Unix / Linux.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Develop application in Python.
• Support application in Unix / Linux environment.
• Design, coding, debugging, application optimization experience – at least 5 years.
• Configuration and deployment of Python code.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Must Have Skillsets

• Python development experience.
• Processing of various file formats (CSV, JSON, XML, YML, AVRO) – At least 3 years’ experience.
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix scripting, Windows scripting – At least 3 years’ experience

Nice to Have Skillsets

• Experience with REST Web services would be desirable (design and development)
• Ideally some experience with any of Nifi, Airflow, Kafka
