Python Software Engineer, Investment Banking

Description

Senior Python Developer required by a leading investment banking client. This assignment is part of a large, globally distributed team responsible for a suite of market risk applications. We are looking for a senior engineer who is able to work in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders, Legacy technology and multiple technical challenges to work through.

Successful candidates will have the following experience:

• Demonstrable Object Oriented Python experience, ideally manipulating complex datasets
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud infrastructure
• PostGRE/MySQL data environments

The ideal candidate will be collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally in global teams - while there will be a technical exercise as part of the interview process, your ability to work with other managers to simplify interactions between multiple apps and components will be a key criteria.
