• Base - Up to £85,000 + benefits

• Flexibility – Hybrid (3x week in office)

Role Summary

As a Python Software Engineer, you will be joining their technology team working on new products as the company embarks on their next stage of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the other members of the tech team to build high-impact solutions.
• Work across their whole tech stack, including backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
• Champion best practices to deliver well-tested, robust software that always delivers.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of their systems’ architecture.
• Collaborate with product, design and business owners to solve problems, test hypotheses, and develop new features for their customers.

Required Experience

• Mastery of Python and its web development frameworks (Django, Flask).
• Experience working with relational databases, preferably MySQL.
• Some experience in frontend development (Javascript, HTML5, CSS3).
• A strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals: version control (git), OOP, unit and integration testing.

Desirable Experience

• Experience developing within a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
• Experience with containerisation and DevOps principles, including Docker and CI/CD.
• A solid understanding of modern web system architecture.
