Who you’ll be working with
- Joining our Liberty IT teams working on modernizing the billing platform that services Liberty Mutual customers
- The teams are playing key roles in a large strategic initiative
Experience and Skills Required
- Experience working with Python or Typescript with AWS
- A third level qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or STEM subject and one year of post-graduate software development experience in a commercial environment; or current and valid industry-recognized certifications and three years software development experience in a commercial environment
- Experience in agile software delivery (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience of continuous improvement in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience in technical communication with peers and non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience with Kafka and AWS
Experience and Skills Desired
- Knowledge and experience of DevOps as part of Agile software development
- Active participation in knowledge-sharing activities, both within the team and with wider non-technical audiences
- Experience of building great software products with a customer-centric approach and balancing technical decisions with user needs and commercial constraints
