Job Description
LinQuest is seeking a mid-level Python Modeler to support Headquarters, US Air Force (HAF) A5/7, Air Force Futures (AFF), at both client sites in the Pentagon and telework sites in the National Capital Region. The applicant will join a team that employs Model-Based Mission Engineering (MBME). MBME utilizes digital Mission Thread (MT) and Mission Engineering Thread (MET) models to provide a mission context to concept exploration, capability development, and throughout the systems engineering and acquisitions life cycles.
MT models capture the sequence of operational objectives and tasks to achieve a desired mission effect. METs include the technical details of the capabilities and systems assigned to execute the mission. MBME allows for virtual integration of innovative concepts and will streamline analysis to support planning and programming decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build Python discrete event simulations for analysis of the MT.
- Use results from Python analysis to define MEG (Mission Engineering Guide) measures for the MT.
Required Skills And Experience
- DoD Secret with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in Python coding.
- Experience developing models and data analysis for executive decision-making.
- Ability to break complex problems into manageable elements and identify candidate solutions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 1-4 years’ relevant experience.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- DoD TS/SCI+ eligibility within the last 12 months.
- Experience working with USAF, DoD Stakeholders.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML.
- Basic knowledge/experience in Joint warfighting capabilities, advanced weapons, current and future operational concepts.
Compensation
The salary for this position ranges from approximately $95,000 to $105,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
