As a Python Financial Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution leading innovation in risk analytics within the banking sector. You'll play a pivotal role in the accelerated development of prototypes that significantly impact risk analysis and measurement processes at the institution.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop prototypes to enhance risk model consistency and streamline operational processes
- Foster innovation in risk measurement and modernize model development procedures
- Collaborate with the R&D unit to explore advanced methods for risk analytics
- Position the client as a leading research house in risk analytics modernization
Ideal Candidate
You're ideal for this role if you have: 5+ years of experience building and testing applications professionally, Proficiency in object-oriented programming (e.g., Python or Java/C++/C#), Experience with mathematical programming (e.g., MATLAB - nice to have), Strong knowledge of design patterns and testing principles, An MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field.
It is a strong plus if you have: Experience in Agile development and continuous integration practices, Familiarity with algorithms for processing large datasets (e.g., Map/Reduce), Knowledge of machine learning and pattern recognition techniques, Experience with non-traditional database architectures (e.g., NoSQL), Knowledge of machine learning and pattern recognition techniques.
