Python Engineer

Job Description

My client is one of the largest dedicated cloud practices in Europe, collaborating with well-established organizations on prestigious projects.

They are seeking Python Engineers with current SC clearance for Public Sector projects.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding existing customer systems and re-architecting as part of a wider project team.
• Translating customer requirements into technical designs with fellow Engineers.
• Contributing to building highly available, global and cloud-native platforms.
• Building software based on modern architecture techniques like microservices.
• Applying modern software methodologies and mentoring junior team members.
• Contributing to internal tooling development within the team.

Key Skills:

• Commercial experience in Python using Jinja and Flask.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and data-related components.
• Understanding of modern software patterns and methodologies.
• Proficiency in writing queries against common Databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Comfortable with Docker for development.
• Experience in unit testing, CI/CD, and following TDD best practices.
• Experience with REST APIs integration and development.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

• Candidates must hold current SC Clearance due to the urgency of the contracts.
