Python Developer - Remote

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Python Programmer Analyst to join our dynamic team. The Programmer Analyst will be responsible for developing web applications and reporting dashboards, creating technical documentation such as SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and runbooks, and managing vulnerability tickets in ServiceNow. Candidates that apply must have very good experience in technical documentation and fantastic communication skills. This role is a long term, rolling contract, however, candidates that apply must be able to work on a W2 for Apex Systems without any current or future sponsorship. Hourly rate for this will between $50-65/hr. W2.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintaining web-hosted reporting dashboards using open-source programming languages, such as JavaScript and PHP.
• Development of APIs to call and visualize data from various sources.
• Leverage Python for scripting automation tasks.
• Design and implement efficient and scalable solutions for data visualization and reporting.
• Create technical documentation including SOPs, run books, and user guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure consistency in development processes.
• Manage vulnerability tickets in ServiceNow by triaging, prioritizing, and resolving security vulnerabilities identified through vulnerability scanning tools and other sources.
• Work closely and lead weekly status update meeting with Security and Engineering teams to address security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in web development using JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, and related technologies (other open source languages, such as Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Java will be suitable).
• Experience with building RESTful APIs.
• Python scripting and automation experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience documenting technical solutions and communicating complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
