Description

You will work with the other members of the StoreConnect software engineering team to develop, implement, and maintain a next generation predictive analytics solution for the retail grocery industry. Responsible for the development and integration of new data analysis routines and algorithms into an existing commercial product. You will report to the Senior Software Manager.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Implement pre-defined algorithms used to assess the health and operating efficiency of commercial refrigeration systems
  • Integrate algorithms into production code base as modular, testable, and scalable python code
  • Utilize existing data storage solutions and data access APIs
  • Standardize processes for code quality while sustaining the robustness of code
  • Review of the work of, mentor, and delegate work to junior team members
  • Bring forward and help drive creative ideas, provide technical expertise, and support other team members, collaborators, and customers
  • Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with back-end logic
  • Participate as an active member of daily standups, Sprint meetings, and other Agile/Scrum processes.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other STEM field
  • 7+ years Python experience including strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • 3+ years experience developing a customer facing production cloud application.
  • Competent in writing SQL and crafting efficient queries
  • Experience with version control systems (git, Github)
  • Experience with cloud computing and cloud hosting services; AWS experience preferred
  • Experience with Linux development environment
  • Familiarity with NumPy, Scikit-learn, or other python based data analysis packages
  • Strong understanding and proficiency with algorithmic complexity and efficient coding processes.

  • Background with data analytics, statistics, and time-series data.
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Enjoys working with low-level data
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter and strong work ethic.
  • Documentation skills

The salary range of $74,035 - $142,375 is just one component of Hussmann's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
