Python Developer

Responsibilities

• Utilize Python to develop and maintain data processing pipelines, leveraging libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Flask.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and identify areas for improvement, implementing practical solutions.
• Debug code as needed and troubleshoot Python-related queries, ensuring smooth operation of applications.
• Contribute to projects related to P&C Insurance Rate management, Pricing, and/or Underwriting Functions.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to workflow, business requirements, and technical functionality of applications/platforms.
• Familiarity with Earnix is advantageous.
• Manage work using project management tools like Jira and actively participate in Agile ceremonies/routines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Python Developer, with a strong portfolio of projects.
• Understanding of Python Software Development ecosystems, including NumPy, Pandas, and Flask.
• Experience with P&C insurance, including Rating Engineer experience with Oracle/Guidewire.
• Proficiency in data extraction and analytics using Python and/or R.
• Knowledge of pricing in the insurance domain is highly desirable.
