Job Description

A global trading organisation in London is looking for a Python/Power BI developer to join their Data and Business Service team for a 6 months contract inside IR35. The role involves developing data pipelines, creating Business Information Access portals, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance key performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and construct data pipelines for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data
• Create and implement Business Information Access portals with dashboards and reports using PowerBI
• Innovate existing solutions and forecast future business needs
• Develop analytics tools to offer actionable insights across various business functions
• Emphasize automation and streamline processes
• Take responsibility for testing and documentation
• Engage with stakeholders to provide updates and identify risks

Key Experience

• Proficient in developing APIs using Python
• Skilled in constructing and enhancing 'big data' data pipelines and architectures
• Demonstrated success in manipulating, merging, and extracting insights from datasets
• Extensive expertise in Power BI, including dashboard design
• Strong SQL development background, particularly with MS SQL Server
• Ability to translate VBA/formulas in Excel into Power BI for automation
• Proficient in Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
