Description
SAIC is seeking an experienced, results-oriented, mission-driven Python Developer with specialized focus on Data Engineering. The ideal candidate will work on data model design, data formatting, and ETL development optimized for efficient storage, access, and computation in support of national security objectives. You will be part of agile teams responsible for increasing innovation capacity and driving the velocity of development of data ingestion and data analysis. The Python Developer will improve inefficient tooling, adopt new transformative technologies and ensure operational continuity.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Must have active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or years of experience in lieu of degree
- 6+ years of overall related professional experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with hands-on development experience using Python, Java, JavaScript to ETL data
- Experience with ETL includes formats such as XML, JSON and YML and normalizing data and high-volume data ingestion
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using and ingesting data into SQL and NoSQL database systems
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with building containerized services
- Familiarity with Databricks platform
- Experience with PySpark
- Experience developing and maintaining data processing flows
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience working with Linux OS
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline
- Experience with Agile Methodologies and Kanban Framework
- Experience with utilizing relational databases including the use of MySQL and/ or Oracle for designing database schemas
- Experience with Linux, REST services, and HTTP
