Python developer
Permanent, Glasgow
FPSG's client is a bespoke team, with autonomy and technical creativity, embedded in a rapidly growing market leader. This squad development environment needs strong software engineer who have excellent core Python (additional skills include Java, JavaScript) and the ability to influence the design & architecture of the software and applications around them.
To be successful you will have:
- Current and practical expertise using Python; with additional skills in Java, C++ or other OO language;
- A strong knowledge of SQL and broad database development experience
- Must have strong technical skills in delivering complex enterprise level systems
- Should possess excellent object-oriented design skills, OOA / OOD
- Experience with multi-tiers and service oriented architecture
- In addition RDBMS, exposure and understanding on NoSQL, Hadoop is desired
- Knowledge of software development life cycle and agile development practices. TDD / BDD
- Strategic thinking, collaboration and consensus building skills
