Job Description
Wolt is looking for a Python Backend Engineer to join the Purchase Platform team. The team is responsible for the complete purchase lifecycle in the core of Wolt’s consumer backend. The Purchase Platform team is small yet highly proficient, and we're eager to add more talent to our dynamic group of skilled engineers.
Purchase Platform Responsibilities
- Full ownership of purchases
- Developing back-end components
- Writing code, DevOps, and SRE
- Maintaining and improving system scalability and robustness
Examples of Tasks
- Extracting parts of a monolith into a new service
- Building internal APIs for other teams
- Optimizing old flows for efficiency and scalability
Requirements
We are looking for someone with a strong professional background in building backend services using asynchronous Python and delivering modern, testable, and maintainable code. In addition, high emotional intelligence and willingness to collaborate are key. We expect you to be product-oriented, a good communicator, and keen on solving problems creatively.
