Python Automation Engineer II

Job Position Requirements

• W2 only position
• Requires Green Card or US Citizenship
• Onsite in Santa Clara for full 5 days a week

Skills and Experience Needed

Looking for an Automation Engineer to assist with development using Velocity Automation tools. The ideal candidate should have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an automation engineer
• Proficiency in Python 2.7+ and 3.6 or above
• Experience with networking, TCP/IP, and CCNA certification
• Experience managing backend systems and sub-systems
• Knowledge of Rest APIs, particularly Fast API
• Experience with VMware ESXi, Vcenter backend components
• Skills in Cloud shell, Velocity lab automation tool
• Experience with PaloAlto firewall (a plus)
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, and Azure cloud deployments and tools
• Expertise in coding with Python

Interview Process

The interview process consists of 3 rounds:

1. Team member panel focusing on Networking
2. Discussion with Team Lead on automation
3. Final round with Manager for culture fit assessment

Technical Assessment

The technical assessment will involve coding in Python and demonstrating how to set up firewalls through Rest APIs.
