Title: Cognos Analytics with ETL and Python

Location: Philadelphia, PA (3 days/week Onsite)

Duration: 6+ months

Client: Financial firm

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the Data Protection Business Intelligence tool
  • Develop and maintain advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions using Cognos Analytics
  • Design, implement, and automate ETL processes with source data coming from DBs (SQL and Oracle), CSV files and Splunk
  • Integrate new data feeds into the DPBI tool, ensuring seamless data flow and enhanced reporting capabilities
  • Utilize Python for data analysis, modeling, automation tasks, and integration activities to support data-driven decision-making across the organization
  • Write and maintain scripts in Python and PowerShell to automate data processing, workflow tasks, and support data protection related control enhancements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, gather requirements, and deliver scalable data solutions
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality controls and validation processes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and methodologies in data science, machine learning, analytics, and data protection
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for data management, data governance, analytics, and data protection within the organization

Information Security and Security Products

  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of products and/or procedures to enhance security
  • Review requests for new systems or changes to existing systems and evaluate the impact to security
  • Deploy and monitor additional security products and tools or enhancements to existing tools
  • Monitor daily reports to ensure the effectiveness of new and existing security technology
  • Internal: Enterprise Data Management (DLP Program) and Information Security Management colleagues, LOB Risk Managers
  • External: Share and exchange information with vendors

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's in computer science or software engineering
  • Adept networking and system administration abilities
  • Experience in developing solutions in a Windows environment and for Microsoft products (Office365, Exchange etc.)
  • Experience in developing, implementing and managing Data Warehouse solution Knowledge and skills (general and technical)
  • Platforms: Windows environment, Exchange, Office365
  • Experience with data analytics technologies as well as analytical and dimensional modeling
  • Experience with Business Intelligence
  • Experience with Power Automate
  • Experience with Cognos Analytics
  • Experience in coding/scripting with Python and Powershell
  • Experience with Splunk
  • Experience with SQL
