About the Role
The Master Data Management Engineer will be responsible for designing and building Master Data Management functionality that would help enable better Master Data across Gartner. Maintain the highest data quality standards demanded by Gartner utilizing multiple state of the art technologies in data engineering, data operations, and data mastering in a cloud-based environment.
What you'll do: You will be responsible for providing technical design, development, and deployment of innovative data solutions. Analyze business requirements, design solutions, and implement functionality related to Data Management. Build and maintain Data Pipelines using SQL and AWS technologies like Glue and Python. Utilize Master Data Management tools like Ataccama and in-house tools to ensure filtering, mastering, and data quality rules are appropriately enabled and adequately tested. Engage in day-to-day data operations involving troubleshooting data pipelines and monitoring and maintaining job schedules. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to align technical and business requirements.
Requirements
- Strong IT professional with 4+ years of experience in cloud-based data engineering, preferably in AWS.
- The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have: Proficiency in either Python/Java programming. Proficient in utilizing AWS services. Excellent SQL and data analytics skills - ability to look at complex stored procedures and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Good to have: Experience in PostgreSQL or similar cloud-based DB. Experience working with AWS Glue. Experience in Data Governance, Data Architecture, and Data Operations. Good knowledge of cloud technology AWS, Azure, and exposure to cloud tools. Basic understanding of MDM fundamentals and domains.

Graduate/Postgraduate in BE/Btech, ME/MTech, or MCA is preferred. Excellent communication skills. Attitude and aptitude to learn, collaborate, and work towards common goals of the team. Must be a team player. Able to work independently or within but interact with a team proactively collaboratively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment. Owns success. Takes responsibility for the successful delivery. Feels strongly about the importance of Master Data and will do your best to improve its quality and trust across the organization. Strong desire to improve upon their skills in tools and technologies.
