As a Lead Software Engineer - Python / AWS / ETL / Big Data at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Bank, Connected Commerce Technology
You are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches
- Develops secure high-quality production code, reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams
- Works with an existing development team to create the new Hadoop-based platform
- Designs, develops, implements and supports the platform
- Develops and tests new interfaces, enhancements/changes to existing interfaces, new data structures
- Handles Dev Ops efforts in terms of CICD, Scanning, Code, Performance testing and Test coverage
- Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Innovates new ways of managing, transforming and validating data
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies
- Practical cloud native experience
- Demonstrated experience with AWS, Python and ETL development
- Experience with data analysis, data modeling, data engineering
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Experience in Snowflake
- Experience with Visualization (Qlik/Tableau)
