About Consumer & Community Banking (CCB)

Our CCB division serves Chase customers with various financial services including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, and investment advice. We excel in credit card sales, deposit growth, and digital solutions while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Role Overview

  • Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase in Community and Consumer Banking, Architecture and Engineering team.
  • An integral part of an agile team enhancing and delivering market-leading technology products.
  • Responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas to support business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational stability.
  • Partner with Product and Platform teams for CI/CD capabilities.
  • Develop and champion exemplar implementations.
  • Train and coach SMEs across Product teams.
  • Plan, Publish and Facilitate adoption parties.
  • Implement sustainable automated ways to govern adoption of CI/CD capabilities.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams.
  • Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering.
  • Contribute to team culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development using Java/JavaScript/Python.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices, Object Oriented principles, Microservice architecture, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and SCM tools like Git.
  • Hands-on experience in modern programming languages and cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of database technologies, preferably Oracle, Cassandra.
  • Ability to architect and own end-to-end solutions.
  • Understanding of Messaging technologies like Apache Kafka.
  • Strong grasp of test-driven development, engineering mindset, and innovative development.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Strong research, investigation, presentation, and evaluation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
