Job Description
As a Lead Software Engineer at Capital One, you will work in a collaborative environment to productionize machine learning applications and systems at scale. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and delivering ML models
- Participating in technical design and development
- Ensuring high availability and performance
- Collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams
- Maintaining and monitoring models in production
- Constructing optimized data pipelines
- Implementing continuous integration and deployment best practices
- Following Responsible and Explainable AI best practices
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 6 years professional software engineering experience
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 7+ years experience in Python, Scala, Java, Go, or Node.js
- 2+ years experience with cloud services
- 4+ years experience in open source frameworks
- 1+ years of people management experience
- 2+ years of Agile practices
- 2+ years of model development and deployment patterns experience
Salary Information
The annual salary range for this role in New York City (Hybrid On-Site) is $201,400 - $229,900 for Lead Software Engineer.
For candidates in other locations, the salary will be based on the pay range associated with that location.
