Team Description
We are a passionate, agile, and hands-on team at Capital One, innovating solutions for U.S. credit card customer servicing. Our focus includes modernizing the platform, building serverless microservices, implementing data streaming, and creating intelligent experiences for customers. Our tech stack includes Python, Pyspark, Java, JS, and AWS.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers
- Stay updated on tech trends and experiment with new technologies
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Scala, and more
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering with Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
- 2+ years of experience with containerization technologies
- 1+ years of experience in Big Data, Data Security, Governance, and Controls
