As our Lead Python Wizard of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new applications from concept to production using open-source models.
• Architect and implement scalable, efficient, and maintainable Python code for complex systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, and engineers to design and optimize algorithms and models.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, documentation, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python (3+ years), with expertise in FastAPI, asyncio, websockets, and ast.
• Strong SQL (MySQL) skills.
• Knowledgeable in software development best practices (coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing, CI/CD, Git, GitHub Actions).
• Solid understanding of web development principles (databases, APIs, frontend integration).
• Ability to build scalable and maintainable Python code for rapid growth.
• Willingness to take on diverse tasks in a lean team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English or French.
• Enthusiastic team player with a startup mindset.

Bonus Points

• Good experience with HTML / CSS / plain Javascript.
• Great experience with Google Cloud / Azure / AWS.
