Location/Remote: Denver, CO 80111; Hybrid Remote (i.e., 3 days onsite/week)
Relocation: this role is not considering candidates who require relocation
Employment Type: 9-month contract (open to W-2, 1099, and C2C) – the contract can extend past 9-months if position expectations are being met
Compensation: up to $58/hour W-2, 1099, or C2C

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Python Developer to join our team and play a key role in building and maintaining a performant platform for managing tens of thousands of devices. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable backend services using Python and REST APIs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services for a high-performance device management platform.
- Implement RESTful APIs using Python frameworks, with a strong preference for FastAPI (experience with Django or similar frameworks is also considered).
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (front-end, DevOps) to deliver a seamless user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the Python ecosystem.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Python.
- Proven experience building and deploying applications with REST APIs.
- Familiarity with FastAPI (or similar frameworks like Django) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bonus Points for
- Experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with Kubernetes (k8s).
