About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled back-end engineer with a proven track record in the media or telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the technical requirements and challenges in this field. The Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted video delivery by monitoring, logging, and addressing performance issues proactively.
Responsibilities
- Implement, deploy, and maintain infrastructure as code for ITVX Streaming Video Backend and Streaming components.
- Monitor, log, and address performance issues proactively to ensure uninterrupted video delivery.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve video-related issues and incidents promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance ITV's web platform using technologies such as React, Node.js, Fastly, and Contentful.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and maintainable solutions, with a focus on performance and user experience.
Required Skills
- 4-6+ years of experience in Python and Go
- Previous working experience in media, streaming, or telecommunications.
- Experience with Kubernetes for automated deployments.
- Experience with Terraform
- Experience with Docker for containerization
- Experience with AWS cloud provider
