Required Experience

Programming experience in Java/JMS/JDBC and at least one scripting language, preferably Python or a Linux shell, a must
Experience writing SQL and stored procedures for a relational database a must
Experience working with a web stack built on a Tomcat/Apache webserver is required
A minimum of 3 years' experience debugging issues across a full technology stack, including queueing, databases, services, load-balancing, and distributed systems failure generally
Demonstrated debugging skill across hardware, software and the network, and to be able to do so under time pressure, is a must
Hands-on experience with configuring enterprise monitoring and telemetry tolls such as AppDynamics a plus

Excellent communication skills with both technical and business users
Comfort doing this on a globally dispersed team
Enthusiasm and aptitude for mentoring the team on implementing process, architecture, and application improvements to meet our Service Level Objectives
Ability to engage other technical and engineering teams outside our organization to address issues and implement service improvements
Ability to learn quickly and independently, with the ability to leverage that learning to identify and implement automation and efficiency improvements
Willingness to spend at least 50% of your time on production support
