Project Description

Support in implementing an online solution for predicting quality measures based on production data from monofilament production in cooperation with own development team.

End goal is a fully tested Django/Wagtail application to display results.

• Setup Connection to Existing Data Infrastructure: Assess existing data infrastructure. Establish connections to relevant data sources. Ensure compatibility and seamless data transfer.
• Implement RESTful API: Develop an API to extract data from the existing database. Develop procedure to source information from other data sources.
• Create Timeseries Database: Design schema for the timeseries database. Develop scripts or procedures to populate the database. Ensure efficient storage and retrieval of timeseries data.
• Data Engineering for Prototypes: Analyze production data to identify relevant features. Build prototype analytical models using Python frameworks like pandas, scikit-learn, etc.
• Develop Advanced Data-Driven Models: Explore different production setups and their data characteristics. Develop abstract model logic for different setups.
• Build Django/Wagtail Application: Design the architecture of the Django/Wagtail application. Develop frontend and backend components. Integrate the RESTful API to fetch and display predicted quality measures.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Create test cases to cover different scenarios. Conduct unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
• Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Document the implementation details, including APIs, data schemas, and model architectures.

Skills

Required skills (must-have)

• Python experience (min. 5 years)
• Timeseries analysis (machine learning with Python)
• Advanced understanding of software development (git, test-driven development, ...)

• Deployment experience in industrial environment
