Full Stack Python Engineer - Climate Tech and Green Energy

Salary: Up to £80,000 plus equity

Location: Central London (Hybrid 3 days per week onsite)

I'm partnered with a scaling Green-Tech organisation who are on a mission to revolutionize home energy management and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future. Their cutting-edge technology empowers homeowners to monitor, optimize, and reduce their energy consumption, ultimately lowering carbon emissions and creating a more efficient energy ecosystem.

They are seeking a talented Full Stack Python Engineer to join the growing team and play a key role in developing and enhancing their core web platform. As a Full Stack Python Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative solutions that enable users to control and monitor their home energy usage, contributing directly to their goal of reducing carbon emissions.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in web development
  • Worked on traditional multi-page web apps ideally in Python and Django
  • Worked in projects spanning definition, use and implementation of REST APIs
  • Mixing various front end frameworks (React, htmx, etc.) to gradually enhance interactivity of multi-page apps and transition to single page app or hybrid
  • Proven track record of building visually appealing and highly interactive user interfaces for web applications.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of web and API frameworks i.e. Python/Django/FastAPI
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong emphasis on modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • Understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with performance monitoring and debugging tools.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
