Full-Stack Python Developer

Description

Our client is a technology-led hedge fund founded in 2015, passionate about collecting, cleaning, transforming, and storing data to feed trading strategies. Its data-driven trading models utilize a variety of open-source technologies and multiple data sources, from vendor APIs to a fleet of web crawlers running 24/7, to make trading decisions in the global markets. The firm manages assets on behalf of a diverse range of clients including pension plans, insurance companies, financial institutions, family offices, qualified individual investors, among others.

Tasks

• Use the Django web framework to develop and manage configurations for consuming, enhancing, and viewing data
• Collaborate with the operations and investment teams to develop a suite of trading and risk-related tools and dashboards
• Write internal and end-user documentation

Must-have

• Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience with Python
• Experience with Django or a similar Python web framework
• Proficiency in frontend development concepts such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Experience with GitHub/Git, or comparable distributed version control system
• Experience working in a Linux command-line environment
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Postgres, Redis, Asyncio, React, gRPC/Protobuf
