The Role

  • EY are looking to further strengthen their Actuarial technology capabilities.
  • We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer with a strong grounding in Python, to drive the development of our cutting-edge solutions in our Actuarial Non-Life team.
  • Your primary role as a Senior Consultant will be to spearhead our internal projects and initiatives while also providing support in client transformation engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading development work including the build and maintenance operations of our reserving platform.
  • Implement coding standards and development tools including frameworks for code development and review within the department.
  • Lead technology delivery within our client pricing and reserving transformation projects providing coding guidance and peer review to the project team.
  • Create and facilitate Python coding learning and development initiatives for the department.

Technical Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Programming, Information Management, and/or Maths.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a software development role, ideally within the financial or insurance industry.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working with actuaries and understanding of Actuarial concepts an advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fast learner with the ability to integrate information and make judgements.
